Join us Thanksgiving morning to work up an appetite for a
good cause in a true Charlottesville tradition. Unite with friends and family
to run (or walk!) the 5K course through beautiful Ednam Forest and raise money for
the new Barry and Bill Battle Building at the UVA Children's Hospital.
Registration will open on Tuesday, October 20th. Registration will close on November 22nd or when we reach 1300 entrants, whichever comes first.
Due to the large number of participants, dogs are no longer permitted at this event.

The UVA Children's Hospital is a "hospital without walls". While the Hospital comprises the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Health System, its services extend across the Central Virginia community and beyond, and accomodates over 100,000 pediatric patient visits per year.
For children coping with complex illnesses, a new outpatient facility is being planned, providing a bridge between the acute care children receive in the hospital and the ongoing care they manage at home. The Barry and Bill Battle Building at UVA Children's Hospital will bring together related pediatric services and specialists for the convenience and comfort of families and provide the continuity of care needed to promote health and healing outcomes.
With your help, we’re looking forward this year to contributing the largest donation ever to this worthy cause. This year the goal is to raise $50,000 - and we are asking each participant to secure personal sponsorships for this event. If each runner/walker asks just 4 friends to sponsor them in this endeavour for only $10 each, we can surpass this goal!
This year, prizes have been donated to honor the top runners, the participant furthest from home, best costume, and a raffle prize that any entrant will be eligible to win. For more information, please see the Schedule of Events!
