Senior Business Analyst/Agile Lead

Location: Richmond, VA

Senior Business Analysts/Agile Leads at Dominion Digital are responsible for successfully leading Agile projects, delivering business value through a continual focus on the customer and technical excellence. The role of a Senior Business Analyst/Agile Lead involves leveraging broad experiences to frame business problems, analyze alternatives, and lead teams through the disciplined application of Agile practices and metrics. Agile Leads contribute directly to our culture of business value and consulting excellence by addressing people, process, and technology in tandem.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and manage Agile projects
  • Review project scopes and establish practices including development iterations and incremental delivery to accomplish the projects’ stated goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Product Owners and Agile teams
  • Lead and run planning sessions with the team and product stakeholders, conduct review meetings and facilitate interaction between developers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between multiple cross-functional areas
  • Collaborate with teams in creating a robust set of specifications as a basis to estimate and build systems.
  • Actively participate in the consultative sales process
  • Solve complex, multidisciplinary business problems with long-term implications
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients leveraging communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process redesign skills
  • Experience with full life cycle, iterative approaches
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams greater than three people
  • Experience applying technology concepts to business needs
  • Ability to identify and analyze operational improvements using quantitative techniques
  • Experience developing and managing requirements and process flows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of experience in business analysis, requirements management for a software application or product
  • Experience leading Agile projects in excess of $250K    

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field of study, with at least five years of experience in consulting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
