A leading marine electronics company, aiming to develop a family of next-generation navigation products, realized a need to outsource its software development initiatives while protecting their proprietary source code. Recognizing our strong technical leadership from previous projects, Dominion Digital was elected to assess the requirements and provide a robust solution.
Business Result
With an extensive understanding of the client's requirements and to ensure quicker time-to-value, Dominion Digital developed a Software Development Kit (SDK) that provided the documentation, tools and training allowing outside vendors to develop software without modifying the core system. The SDK also included an installer that reduced the amount of time required to onboard a new developer from a week to less than an hour, reducing overhead costs and further reducing time-to-market.
